Your Time to Shine

Helping people move from surviving to thriving through the Heart-to-Heal™ Method.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, burnout or the pressures of leadership and high performance, the Heart-to-Heal™ Method helps you understand what's happening beneath the surface so you can build emotional resilience, regain clarity and create lasting change.

Hi, I’m Cheryl.

I work with people who are carrying more than they show.

On the surface, life often looks steady. People are functioning, achieving, caring for others, and moving through their responsibilities.

Internally, it can feel very different. A constant sense of pressure. Overthinking that won’t settle. Emotional exhaustion that doesn’t fully lift. Or a quiet sense of operating in survival mode, even when everything appears fine.

What I see repeatedly is not separate issues, but one underlying pattern expressing itself in different ways.

A system that has been under sustained pressure for too long.

This is where the Heart-to-Heal™ Method begins.

The Heart-to-Heal™ Method

The Heart-to-Heal™ Method is an integrative approach that works with the system underneath thoughts, emotions, and behaviour, the connection between mind, body, and internal regulation.

Rather than focusing solely on managing symptoms, we work at the level where patterns are formed and maintained, so change becomes more stable and lasting.

When this system is under strain, it can present as anxiety, burnout, emotional shutdown, overthinking, low confidence, or high-functioning stress that never fully resolves.

When it begins to regulate again, people often experience greater clarity, emotional steadiness, and a more grounded way of responding to life and pressure.
This is not about becoming someone else.

It is about returning to a more regulated version of yourself.

My Story

Like many of the people I now work with, I understand what it is to keep functioning while carrying a significant internal load.

Over the years, I experienced anxiety, grief, family breakdown, and periods of emotional strain that were not always visible from the outside.

In 2018, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

That moment became a turning point. It brought clarity to what my body had been communicating for some time and led me to re-examine how I was living and what needed to change.

As I moved through my own recovery, one understanding became central.
Lasting change does not happen through thinking alone.

It happens when the relationship between mind, emotions, body, and internal regulation is understood and worked with directly.

That insight became the foundation of the Heart-to-Heal™ Method.

How the Method Works

The Heart-to-Heal™ Method works with one underlying system and supports people across different contexts where that system is under pressure.

For some, this appears as anxiety, emotional overwhelm, burnout, low confidence, or difficulty breaking recurring emotional patterns.

For others, it presents as sustained high performance under pressure, internal overdrive, leadership stress, or the ongoing experience of holding responsibility while feeling internally stretched.

Different contexts. Same underlying system response.

The work focuses on shifting this pattern so the system can move from protection into regulation, and from survival into steadiness.

As this happens, people often notice improvements in clarity, emotional resilience, relationships, decision-making, and their capacity to handle pressure.

Two Ways This Shows Up in Practice

I work across two primary areas using the same method:

Emotional Wellbeing

Supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, burnout, emotional overwhelm, grief, low confidence, or persistent emotional strain.

The focus is on stabilising the internal system, strengthening regulation, and restoring a sense of safety and steadiness in daily life.

Executive and High Performance Support

Supporting professionals, leaders, and high achievers operating under sustained pressure, internal overdrive, or high responsibility.

The focus is on reducing internal noise, improving clarity under pressure, and building emotional resilience that supports sustainable performance.

Although the context differs, the underlying process is the same.

We are working with the system’s response to pressure and supporting it back into balance so life can be experienced with greater clarity, stability, and ease.

Professional Background

I am an accredited member of the CTAA and work integratively, drawing on evidence-informed therapeutic and coaching approaches tailored to the individual.

Ready to Begin

Whether you are experiencing emotional overwhelm, anxiety, burnout, or the pressures that come with responsibility and high performance, the starting point is the same.

Not having everything figured out.

Not needing to fix everything at once.

Just beginning to understand what is happening beneath the surface, and working with it in a different way.

If you are ready to take that step, I would be honoured to support you.

Emotional Wellbeing Pathway

Emotional Wellbeing Pathway The Heart-to-Heal™ Method Emotional Wellbeing Pathway This pathway is for individuals who are carrying more internally than it may appear on the outside. You might look like you are managing life, work, or relationships well, while internally experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, emotional exhaustion, or a quiet but persistent sense of being “on edge.” Over time, this can lead to feeling disconnected from yourself, stuck in overthinking, or unsure how to switch off and feel at ease again. This is where the Emotional Wellbeing Pathway begins. Who this pathway is for This work is for you if you are experiencing: Anxiety or persistent overthinking Emotional overwhelm or burnout Low confidence or self-doubt Emotional exhaustion or feeling “drained” Difficulty relaxing, switching off, or feeling safe in your body The impact of difficult or overwhelming past experiences You may feel like you are functioning on the outside, but internally you are often tired, reactive, or carrying a sense of pressure that never fully settles. What you might be experiencing Many people in this pathway describe things like: A busy mind that won’t slow down Constant “what if” thinking or worry loops Feeling emotionally reactive or easily overwhelmed Struggling to rest without guilt or restlessness Feeling disconnected from confidence or self-trust A sense that you are always “coping,” but rarely fully okay If this resonates, nothing about you is wrong. These are often signs of a nervous system that has been under sustained pressure for too long. How the Heart-to-Heal™ Method supports you Through the Heart-to-Heal™ Method, we work together to understand how your emotional system has adapted to pressure, experience, and life demands. Instead of focusing only on symptoms, we explore the deeper patterns that keep your system in cycles of anxiety, overwhelm, or shutdown. This includes supporting you to: Understand your emotional and nervous system responses Recognise and shift unhelpful internal patterns Develop emotional regulation and grounding skills Create a greater sense of internal safety and stability Build healthier responses to stress, triggers, and overwhelm The aim is not to suppress what you feel, but to help your system become more settled, responsive, and supported over time. What begins to change through this work As this process unfolds, many people begin to experience: A greater sense of calm and emotional steadiness Less internal overwhelm and mental noise Improved ability to manage stress and uncertainty Increased self-trust and emotional resilience Feeling more present and connected in daily life A stronger sense of internal safety and grounding Change is not about becoming a different person. It is about your system no longer needing to stay in survival mode all the time. How we work together This is a collaborative, supportive therapeutic process tailored to you as an individual. I draw on an integrative approach including CBT, counselling and psychotherapy principles, EFT, mindfulness, and nervous system-informed techniques, all guided by the Heart-to-Heal™ Method. We work at a pace that feels safe and manageable, allowing change to happen in a sustainable way rather than forcing or rushing it. Taking the next step If this pathway resonates with you, the next step is to book a session or arrange an initial conversation. You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. This work starts exactly where you are. 👉 Start Here - A short call to explore what support feels right for you.

Executive Performance Pathway

The Heart-to-Heal™ Method Executive Performance Pathway This pathway is for professionals, leaders, and high performers who are operating under sustained pressure while continuing to show up, deliver, and hold responsibility in their work and life. On the surface, things may appear successful or stable. Internally, however, there may be a very different experience of overthinking, pressure, mental overload, or a constant sense of needing to stay in control. Over time, this can lead to emotional fatigue, reduced clarity, and a feeling that you are functioning at a high level externally while carrying significant internal strain. This is where the Executive Performance Pathway begins. Who this pathway is for This work is for you if you are experiencing: Sustained work or leadership pressure Overthinking, mental noise, or decision fatigue High responsibility roles where others depend on you Difficulty switching off or fully recovering from work Internal pressure to perform, achieve, or stay in control Emotional fatigue that is beginning to affect clarity or focus You may appear highly capable and reliable to others, while internally feeling stretched, overstimulated, or mentally exhausted. What you might be experiencing Many people in this pathway describe things like: A constantly active mind that struggles to switch off Pressure to make the “right” decisions all the time Feeling mentally overloaded but still pushing through Reduced clarity or confidence in decision-making Difficulty separating work demands from personal rest A sense of internal tension that rarely fully settles This is often not a sign of weakness or lack of capability. It is usually a sign of a system that has been operating under sustained pressure for too long without adequate recovery. How the Heart-to-Heal™ Method supports you Through the Heart-to-Heal™ Method, we focus on how your internal system responds to pressure, responsibility, and ongoing cognitive demand. Rather than simply trying to manage stress at a surface level, we work with the underlying patterns that shape how you think, respond, and recover under pressure. This includes supporting you to: Regulate your internal response to pressure and demand Reduce mental noise and overactive thinking patterns Strengthen emotional steadiness in high-pressure situations Improve clarity, focus, and decision-making capacity Build sustainable resilience without emotional depletion The aim is not to lower your ambition or responsibility, but to create a more stable internal system to support how you operate within them. What begins to change through this work As this process unfolds, many people begin to experience: Greater mental clarity and reduced overwhelm Improved ability to think and decide under pressure Less internal tension during high-demand periods Stronger emotional regulation in professional environments Increased confidence in decision-making A more sustainable way of performing without depletion This is not about doing less. It is about operating from a more regulated and clear internal state. How we work together This is a collaborative, integrative process tailored to your specific demands and responsibilities. I draw on CBT, counselling and psychotherapy principles, EFT, mindfulness, and nervous system-informed techniques, all grounded in the Heart-to-Heal™ Method. The work is paced and structured in a way that supports real-world application, helping you integrate regulation and clarity directly into high-pressure environments. Taking the next step If this pathway resonates with you, the next step is to book a session or arrange an initial conversation. You do not need to reduce your responsibilities before beginning this work. This is about changing how you carry them. 👉 Start Here - A short call to explore what support feels right for you.

Corporate Wellbeing Pathway

This pathway is for organisations, teams, and leaders who are looking to improve wellbeing, resilience, communication, and psychological safety within the workplace. In many organisations, performance pressure, workload demands, and constant change can quietly build over time, impacting morale, focus, and overall wellbeing. Even in high-performing environments, this can lead to burnout, disengagement, increased stress, and reduced emotional resilience across teams. This pathway focuses on addressing these challenges at both an individual and systems level. Who this pathway is for This work is designed for: Organisations wanting to support employee wellbeing and mental health Leaders and managers responsible for team culture and performance Teams experiencing stress, burnout, or communication challenges Workplaces navigating change, pressure, or high-demand environments Organisations seeking to build psychological safety and resilience You may already have wellbeing initiatives in place, but feel there is still a deeper layer of stress, pressure, or disconnection that needs to be addressed. What you might be experiencing as an organisation Many organisations come to this work noticing: Increased stress or burnout within teams Reduced engagement, motivation, or morale Communication breakdowns or relational tension Pressure on managers and leadership teams Difficulty sustaining wellbeing initiatives long term A culture of “coping” rather than thriving Often, these challenges are not isolated. They reflect how pressure is being processed and carried across the wider system. How the Heart-to-Heal™ Method supports your organisation The Heart-to-Heal™ Method is applied here at a systems level, supporting both individual wellbeing and organisational culture. Rather than focusing only on surface-level wellbeing initiatives, this work explores how stress, pressure, and emotional load are experienced and managed within teams and leadership structures. This includes supporting: Emotional resilience and regulation within teams Improved communication and relational awareness Leadership capacity under pressure Reduction of burnout and stress-related strain A healthier, more psychologically safe workplace culture The aim is to support organisations in moving from reactive wellbeing responses to a more sustainable, preventative approach. What begins to change through this work Over time, organisations often begin to experience: Improved team cohesion and communication Reduced burnout and stress-related absence Greater emotional resilience across staff and leadership Stronger psychological safety within teams More sustainable performance under pressure A healthier, more balanced workplace culture This work is not about quick fixes. It is about creating conditions where people can function and perform in a more regulated, supported, and sustainable way. How we work together This work is tailored to the needs of each organisation and may include workshops, training sessions, leadership support, or structured wellbeing programmes. The Heart-to-Heal™ Method is adapted to fit the specific challenges, culture, and goals of the organisation, ensuring relevance and practical application in real working environments. Taking the next step If this pathway feels relevant to your organisation, the next step is to arrange an initial discovery conversation. This allows us to explore your current challenges, objectives, and the most appropriate way to support your team or organisation. 👉 Start Here - A short call to explore what support feels right for you.

The Heart-to-Heal™ Method
A structured path back to emotional clarity, stability, and self-connection.

The Heart-to-Heal™ Method was created to bring structure, clarity, and compassion to emotional healing.

Many people feel overwhelmed not because they are “broken,” but because they are carrying too much internally for too long without the right support or framework to process it.

This method was developed to gently guide people from emotional overwhelm toward stability, self-understanding, and inner strength.

It is the foundation behind all of my therapy, coaching, corporate wellbeing work, and resources.

What the Heart-to-Heal™ Method isThe Heart-to-Heal™ Method is a four-stage emotional and psychological framework designed to support healing, regulation, and personal growth.

It helps you move from feeling overwhelmed or stuck into a place of greater clarity, resilience, and emotional balance.

Rather than focusing only on symptoms, it supports you in understanding what is happening internally and rebuilding from the inside out.

The four stages of the Heart-to-Heal™ Method

🌱 Heart Awareness™
This is where we begin by noticing what is happening within you.It is about gently becoming aware of thoughts, emotions, patterns, and internal responses without judgement.Awareness creates the foundation for change.

❤️ Heart Release™
This stage focuses on creating space within the emotional system. Here, we begin to release internal pressure, reduce emotional overwhelm, and support the nervous system in settling. This is not about forcing emotions away, but allowing them to move safely.

🌺 Heart Rebuild™
Once space has been created, we begin rebuilding internal patterns. This includes developing healthier thought processes, emotional responses, and self-belief.This stage supports confidence, stability, and emotional resilience.

✨ Heart Rise™
This is the integration stage. Here, you begin to live with greater emotional freedom, self-trust, and inner steadiness. It is not about becoming perfect, but about becoming more aligned, grounded, and able to navigate life with confidence.

How the Heart-to-Heal™ Method is usedThis method underpins everything I offer, including:

1:1 therapy and coaching
Emotional wellbeing support
Corporate wellbeing programmes
Workshops and training
Journaling and self-reflection resources
Guided tools and downloadable content

Each pathway and resource connects back to one or more stages of the method.

Why this method exists

The Heart-to-Heal™ Method was created to offer something simple, structured, and human in a space that can often feel overwhelming. Healing is not linear, and it is not about “fixing yourself.”It is about understanding yourself more deeply, responding with compassion, and building a more stable internal foundation over time.

A final note

You do not need to rush this process.Every stage of the Heart-to-Heal™ Method is valid, and people often move between stages depending on what life is asking of them.
This is not a performance. It is a process of returning to yourself.

I work with adults and organisations who are experiencing the effects of sustained stress, emotional pressure, or feeling stuck in patterns that are difficult to shift on their own.

This includes individuals experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, low confidence, or the impact of past experiences, as well as professionals and leaders navigating high levels of responsibility and internal pressure while continuing to perform externally.

I also work with organisations who want to support wellbeing, resilience, and psychological safety within their teams.

Across all of this work, I use the Heart-to-Heal™ Method to help people understand and regulate their internal system so they can move toward greater clarity, stability, and emotional resilience.

Rather than focusing on symptoms alone, this approach works with the underlying patterns that shape how you think, feel, respond, and cope in everyday life.
Many approaches focus on either emotional healing or performance development. The Heart-to-Heal™ Method brings both together within one structured system, recognising that emotional wellbeing, resilience, and high performance are all connected through the same internal processes.
The method is delivered through three pathways depending on your needs:
  • Emotional Wellbeing Pathway
  • Executive Performance Pathway
  • Corporate Wellbeing Pathway
Across all three, I draw on evidence-informed approaches including CBT, counselling and psychotherapy principles, EFT, mindfulness, and nervous system-informed techniques, tailored to the individual or organisation.

The aim is not just to help you feel better in the moment, but to support long-term emotional stability, clarity, and resilience so you can respond to life with greater ease and confidence.
Your first session is a gentle starting point where we explore what’s bringing you to this work and what support feels most helpful for you.

You don’t need to prepare anything in advance. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable, and there is space for you to ask questions and get a sense of whether this approach feels right for you.

The focus is on understanding you as a whole person, and beginning to identify how the Heart-to-Heal™ Method can best support your emotional wellbeing, clarity, or performance.

"All individual sessions are conducted online using Zoom. This offers the same dedicated, face-to-face support as in-person therapy, but with the convenience of meeting from a space where you feel most comfortable. To get the most out of our one-hour sessions, you will need a reliable internet connection and a private, quiet place where you will not be interrupted."

Heart-to-Heal™ Guide Moving Forward After a Setback

When life does not go to plan, it is easy to turn inward with self-doubt and criticism. This guide offers a calmer way through. Using the Heart-to-Heal™ Method, it helps you slow down, understand what is happening within you, and reconnect with a more grounded and compassionate way forward.
